Looking for help writing your own legal case?

JD Scribes does not accept work assignments from non-attorneys who are representing themselves in court cases or other legal matters. Our company provides writing services for lawyers and legal publishers. We are a service provider, not a law firm. We do not dispense legal advice.

Hiring a legal writer is not a low-cost substitute for hiring a lawyer and in our opinion, is not an advisable approach for the non-attorney (or pro se) litigant. When you are personally involved in a legal matter it is important to have a representative who can take the time to understand the facts of the case, explain your rights and options, and present your case in the best possible light. Having well written documents is only part of the equation. For that reason we do not accept writing assignments from pro se litigants and strongly encourage non-attorneys to seek legal advice and representation.

The American Bar Association maintains a database of attorney referral services nationwide and can assist you with finding a qualified local attorney to handle your case, as well as other helpful materials and information about representing yourself in a legal matter.
